My name is Lissi Carr and I am one of the four agricultural education teachers and FFA advisors here at Berrien High School. Not only have I taught here my whole career, I also did my student teaching under Mrs. Rebekah Dunn, who was a great mentor and role model for me early on. I attended the University of Georgia to earn my bachelors degree in Agricultural Education and am currently in the last semester of working on my Masters in Agricultural and Environmental Education, from the University of Georgia as well.
I am very fortunate to be able to share my passion to the next generation of future agriculturists, having grown up in agriculture on my family's row crop farm and being an active member of the National FFA Organization myself. Just as my agriculture teacher did, I hope to instill a better knowledge and understanding of the many aspects of the agriculture industry in my students. Agriculture is a huge part of the community in which we live in, and to the entire world. I am thankful to work with the students in Berrien County and have a hand in growing the next generation of leaders in agriculture.
I teach the Plant and Landscape Systems Career Pathway which consists of the following classes: Basic Agricultural Science and Technology, General Horticulture and Plant Science, & Nursery and Landscape.
