Introduction
Family Photo

My name is Christa Hartzog and this is my first year teaching at Berrien High School.

I graduated from Cook High School in 2005 and from there attended college at Valdosta State University where I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts for Theatre Production and Pre-Medicine. I met my husband who was serving in the US Air Force and after we were married, we moved to Oahu, Hawaii. There, I attended Hawaii Pacific University for a degree in Nursing. While attending college, I was the Teen Director for the Boys and Girls Club of Hawaii and was teaching alternative high school through Waipahu High School. We then moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado, where I officially became a teacher. I have been teaching high school Special Education, Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Geometry, Theatre, and Art classes for the past five years.

Family 2019
This summer we decided to come back to my home and I'm happy to have landed here and become part of the Berrien County School District. I am excited to be here and continue teaching, making memories with my family, growing my own food, cooking, and eating, taking pictures, crafting, and playing video games. We have three daughters and a son. Bree retired from the US Army and will be attending Wiregrass for Nursing, Dracy is active duty in the US Navy, Dru is in 7th grade and loves singing and dancing, and Gideon is still on the way!
